Mail is Apple's free email client. To configure Mail, take the following steps-
- First, open up Mail.
- The "Welcome to Mail" screen will appear. Fill out the following bills as noted below, and then click "Continue".
- Full Name
- For this you can enter your name, or whatever name you'd like those viewing your email to see.
- Email Address
- Your full email address goes here.
- Password
- Your email password goes here.
- Full Name
- The next window is the "Incoming Mail Server" window. Choose the following settings and then click "Continue".
- Account Type
- POP3
- Description
- This can be whatever you wish. It is only to help you keep track of multiple accounts on one computer.
- "Incoming Mail Server"
- If you're web site address is www.waveinternetsupport.com, you will enter mail.waveinternetsupport.com for your incoming mail server.
- User Name
- Your full email address
- Password
- your email password goes here.
- Account Type
- The next window is the "Incoming Mail Server" window.
- The Outgoing mail server will be provided by your internet service provider. You will have to contact them for this address. Click here to open a new window containing a list of common smtp server addresses.
- After filling out this information, click "Next"
- The next window will be the "Outgoing Mail Security" window. These settings will again be settings from your internet service provider. After filling them out, click "Continue".
- Next, you will see the "Account Summary" window. Check the "Take account online" and then click "Create".
- That's it! You've successfully configured Apple's mail client!
